Summary

Documents the new Claude model picker in the data apps chat input, which lets users pick between Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku per version.

Changes

  • Added a "Choosing a Claude model" subsection to the data apps guide, under "Iterating on your app".
  • Explained when to use each model (Sonnet default, Opus for complex prompts, Haiku for fast tweaks) and that the model can be switched mid-iteration without losing context.

Context

Triggered by lightdash/lightdash#23328, which adds a model picker next to the send button. The choice is editable on every turn and persisted per-version, with older versions falling back to Sonnet.

Don't think this is needed. The UI explains it already pretty well.
