Summary

AI agents can now answer period-over-period questions natively — month-over-month, year-over-year, and custom offsets — and return a comparison column alongside the base metric. This PR documents that capability.

Changes

  • guides/ai-agents/using-ai-agents.mdx: added period comparisons to the core capabilities list and a new "Period-over-period comparisons" example with sample prompts, supported granularities, stacking multiple comparisons, and current limitations (granularity matching, no sort/filter on the generated column).
  • guides/period-over-period.mdx: added a tip linking users to the AI agent flow as an alternative to the Explorer-based workflow.

Context

Documents the user-facing addition from the upstream change that introduces a dedicated periodComparisons field on the agent's query tool, so the agent has a validated path for "compare X to last month / year" style prompts.
