Manual gain control for SSB not working

Describe the bug
We want to use this chip for an 80m (CW/SSB) direction finder and rely on the chip's internal AGC. I tried many things to get manual AGC working as described in the application note. Unfortunately, without success. I also did not find an SSB/CW example with manual (variable) gain.

Expected behavior
We want to use the described internal (manual) attenuation steps. The best would be an example for the library.

I use the newest PlatformIO and an ESP32 C3

This is a known behavior with the SI473X library setFrequency() in SSB mode silently re-enables the AGC, overriding any manual attenuation you set. The fix is to call setAutomaticGainControl(1, 0) immediately after every setFrequency() call to force it back to manual mode.
