Site notifications or RSS feeds

Would love to see a way for users to subscribe to email alerts for updates to specific pages and optionally, any subpages.

Having an RSS feed available which shows pages that were changed would also be helpful (with the ability for admins to remove specific pages from being included in the feed.

I've had another request for this today from an end-user, specifically for the Release Notes page.
Internal users (my colleagues who support the end-users) really need this too, so they can stay up-to-date with my changes. Some are using a 3rd party tool (https://visualping.io) which shouldn't be necessary.

This is now supported 🎉 Any page with an updates block automatically gets an RSS feed, so your readers can subscribe and stay on top of changes as they happen.

This is interesting, but I'm not sure it fits our needs today. Here is some feedback:

1. The tags are great, we've been asking for them, but they are not much use unless they come with a filter. We expected a filter at the to of the page where users could filter all the release notes to view only the notes associated with a particular module. (For context, we have one platform with several modules, all release notes are on one page, but not all users have all modules.)

2. The date is neat and tidy, but it doesn't show up in the side navigation menu. We put the date in our section titles on purpose. We need to give users a way to jump straight to a particular date. Maybe there could be a date filter alongside the tag filter?

4. The RSS feed is confusing - perhaps there is a bug and/or I don't understand how it is supposed to work:

(a) Can you use a better label than RSS feed? Or make it customizable? I am not familiar with that term, which means my users will most likely not understand it either (probably won't notice the button or be reluctant to click it). Remember, the point of the original request was to get a way for users to subscribe to our release note updates. I assumed they could click a Subscribe button, enter their email address and that would be it.

(b) Related to above, can you please remove the GitBook Assistant item from the RSS feedback menu. It is surplus to requirements, as the Ask button is just above it.

(c) When I click your RSS feed button and select RSS feed, I get a browser tab with code. Is that supposed to happen?

5. Related to above, I wonder if the Agent can help us convert our release notes in their current format into the new blocks? I am reluctant to try until the other issues are resolved and I am confident I'll use this new feature.
