Help with integration programming wanted

Currently, I'm implementing a source for AWM Munich.
Though developing software for a living for 25 years now, I'm still a beginner with python.

I finished everything (ugly AWM interface...) to the point where I have the ICS available as a string. The ICS looks good to me and I could import it to Apple iCal without any problems. Then I tried to feed it into waste_collection_schedule's ICS parser:

Is there any chance I can fix this without re-inventing the wheel and implementing my own ICS-Parser?

Isn't that waste provider already supported: AWM München

Oh, totally overlooked that one, I didn't realize there are 'available' connections not listed when configuring in the GUI. Will use that for a first.

However, since changing the configured URL every year still seem not very comfortable to me, I'd be still interested in finding out about this problem to provide a proper out-of-the-box integration.

I don't think you don't have to update it every year.
The example given includes year%5D={%Y} in the url parameter, which should mean the current year is substituted into the url at run time.

This is briefly mentioned in the ICS/iCal [Configuration via configuration.yaml] section:
