How to expose immich server for remote backup

I have installed and setup Immich to back up to a network folder and confirmed that everything is working correctly.

On my HA install I have DuckDNS and NGINX installed to allow remote access to HA which works correctly.
However, if I go to https://mydnsname.duckdns.org:8181/ I get an Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

I have both 443 and 8181 port forwarded on my router.

I am new to networking and SSL proxy stuff, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG usually means you're trying to make a SSL connection to a non-ssl endpoint
