With the latest kernel there is now option to use the HDMI or Display Port audio.
This does not work on Orange PI with a monitor plugged into the display port socket.
Tested with your stock kernel debian package: 6.19.4-sky1-latest.r2
When display audio is changed to HDMI/Display Port 2 audio device the desktop becomes almost totally frozen and the mouse can barely move. Changing back to a different audio device the desktop becomes working again.
No kernel errors have got logged during the time that the desktop is unresponsive.
