Portrait vs Landscape - which has the better layout?

I'm considering getting a panel and I can use either model (US or EU)... which do you guys feel provides the better screen layouts? I know these are the same size screens, just curious if there are any benefits and/or limitations to one orientation vs the other.

First, please take a look at this: #713

The most important for you to take in account is that the screws positions are different (as the standards are different between US and Europe), so you might have to do some adjustments to install a different model in your wall.

As you see on that post, the size is not exactly the same, but as we use the same TFT, you won’t really get that extra space used. In landscape mode the two bars representing the hardware buttons states are in the extra space at the side, but in other hands, the text related to the buttons aren’t shown (as we don’t have rotated fonts) and its space isn’t used.

thank you, great write up. Astatically I like the EU version better but I may just do the US version. I can install either, though the US would be easier since I have a standard US wall box already there.
