Use relay GPIOs for other devices

First of all:
Thank you for the great work!

Secondly:
I apologize right away if I ask something stupid, or something I could have found in the doc, in which case please let me know where I can find the info.

Now to the question:
I would like to use the GPIOs of the relays for other purposes, a DHT temperature sensor, a motion detector, ...
How can I assign the relay pins differently and deactivate the relays themselves?
